Who Am I?
Hello my name is Allah-mi Basheer. While I am most known for being Selah and Zion’s mom, I am also an Executive Life Coach, who works with higher performing individuals who seek to improve their well being, sustain their success and create better work life balance.
As a 5/1 Manifesting Generator with a Sacral Authority, and an incarnation cross of Left Angle Cross of Breakthrough, I am here to help people I don’t know overcome their limiting beliefs. I teach clients how to use tools like Human Design, intuitive wisdom and self-coaching techniques to reconnect with themselves and break through barriers to their success.

Right now I am most drawn to influential people who feel stuck, burnout, and unable to see a clear path to what’s next. I specialize in helping professionals experiencing life, business, or career transitions develop a plan and a pathway forward..
As an intuitive life coach I teach executives how to make aligned, intuitive decisions using all aspects of intelligence—instinct, intellect, and intuition—so they can stop second-guessing themselves and move with more confidence.

How Did I Get Here?
Let’s just say I know a thing or two about pushing past limits. I never once touched a basketball until my sophomore year of high school, but three years later, I earned a Division I scholarship to UC Irvine. With only a few years of playing the sport I became a Big West Conference standout, an honorable mention All-American, and landed in the University of California Irvine Athletics Hall of Fame. That’s how I roll.
My career started in education and human services—I’ve been a social worker, a K-12 teacher, a job developer at a parole office, and even the Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Academic Services at USC. I was helping people find their way, but something was missing. Then life happened. A personal loss cracked me open, and I started asking bigger questions. That led me to my first psychic reading, which led me to a deep dive into intuition, which led me right here—helping people master their own inner knowing so they can stop playing small and start living with intention.

Because I don’t do fluff, and I don’t do wasted potential. If you’re looking for someone to co-sign your bs and all of your excuses then we probably won’t make. a great match. A Little About Me…
Before discovering my true passion for Human Design, my life was a beautiful whirlwind of creativity, leadership, and purpose-driven work. I was painting and selling commissioned artwork, leading a youth ministry, creating 16-foot canvas murals, acting in plays at Lakewood Church, traveling the world, and fundraising for my nonprofit, which builds water wells in Ghana.
As a 4/1 Manifesting Generator, I thrived on exploring multiple passions, yet deep down, I felt like something was missing—that one calling that destiny had waiting for me.
My Corporate Background…
For over 15 years, I worked in corporate America, supporting C-suite executives, medical directors, and hospital presidents in administrative healthcare. I was trained in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and facilitated employee development workshops. I even founded and chaired the first Black Employee Resource Group at the #1 ranked hospital in the nation, Houston Methodist Hospital.
Yet, despite my accomplishments, I still didn’t feel fulfilled.
Discovering Human Design…
In 2021, a friend casually asked if I knew my Human Design. I had no idea what she was talking about, so I did a deep-dive Google search… and let’s just say, that was the moment everything changed.
After devouring a dozen books and immersing myself in self-study, my intuition finally screamed:
"Biiiishhh… this is it! This is what you’ve been waiting for!"So, I faced my fears, withdrew my 401k, and walked away from my corporate job to pursue my passion full-time. I earned my Quantum Human Design Specialist certification in 2022, and I haven’t looked back since.
How I Give Back…
I knew this knowledge was too powerful to keep to myself. So, I launched Born by Design, a business dedicated to helping people understand and integrate Human Design into their lives.
Today, I also partner with my life partner in The Encouragement Company, offering coaching, consultations, and professional training in Human Design. Together, we provide:
1:1 Human Design Readings – Helping clients understand how their energy flows.
1:1 Coaching – Healing from past trauma and creating forward momentum.
Video Courses – Teaching the foundations of Human Design and bodygraph analysis.
Group Classes – Skill-building and life-hacking through the Human Design lens.
Professional Trainings – Teaching Human Design to healthcare and wellness professionals.
How I Teach…
I take a “meet them where they are” approach to teaching Human Design. Whether working with a total beginner or an advanced student, I tailor my guidance to their level of understanding.
My favorite clients? People who are actively looking for a way to make their lives better—but who look at their bodygraph and think, “What the hell am I even looking at?” My job is to make Human Design practical, accessible, and life-changing.
